James Deakin & Sons Sheffield Silver Plated And Cranberry Glass Decanter Jug in the form of a standing Monkey, with beautifully detailed cast hinged head combining a lovely pair of characters some orange glass eyes, it as a deep coloured cranberry glass body and a clear glass handle, it stands on two chased silver plate feet at the front and has a detailed swing open silver plate mount as his head, the cast feet creates the base for it to stand up proudly. Outstanding quality and exceptional detail, in great condition, stamped on the base with J D & S, E.P.N.S, followed by the famous desk bell mark. This was used to stop the confusion about their products against James Dixon & Son, who also worked around the same time as James Deakin & Son.
