This antique tramp art sewing or jewellery box is in lovely, untouched, and unrestored original condition. It comes complete with a working lock and key.

The box features a pair of side handles for easy mobility and charming metal pulls shaped like bows to lift the lid. The beautifully designed top showcases a floral centrepiece and has the initials “B” and “W” on the front.

Tramp art originated between the 1870s and the 1940s, but there is no definitive record of its beginnings or the individuals involved. These remarkable pieces were typically crafted from scrap wood sourced from wooden boxes, furniture, cigar boxes, and shipping crates. This particular box displays lovely geometric shapes and designs on all sides, and pieces in this condition and style are becoming increasingly rare over time.

The box measures approximately 31 cm wide, 19 cm deep, and 16 cm high.
