Rare solid silver doctor’s torch, in exceptional good working condition, hallmarked stamp with V & J which refer to Villiers & Jackson.

They were based in Birmingham, this was confirmed with the hallmark of an anchor stamp which means it was assayed in Birmingham.

Followed by the silver sterling lion stamp, it’s then followed by the date letter “O” which dates this piece to 1940.

This particular example is fully working and in exceptionally good condition.

The bulb is all working correctly, the battery will not be supplied with this item.

The torch measures approx. 13.5cm long, the weight of the item is approx. 36.6 grams.
