Illinois Bunn Special, Model 14, 60-hour, 16s, Silver Hallmarked Cased 21 Jewels, c.1928
This listing is for a 21-jewel Illinois Bunn Special pocket watch dating from 1928, housed in a solid silver Dennison hallmarked case. Size 16s, Model 14. In excellent condition throughout and in good working order.
The watch features a Bunn Special movement with 21 jewels, a double-roller escapement, a motor barrel, and is adjusted to temperature and six positions. The damaskeened nickel movement with “Ray” pattern has the serial number 5070543. It is stem-wind and lever-set. The movement is clean, bright, and running well, keeping good time.
The watch is housed in a solid silver Dennison hallmarked case. The case is in excellent condition, with no dents. The case had detailing around the edges, which is still crisp, and the glass is also in good order.
The white Montgomery enamel Illinois double-sunk dial is in excellent condition, with bold black Arabic numerals in the “arrows-in” style. The plum/purple steel hands are original and in fine condition.
