Antique Arts & Crafts Oak Refectory Table In The Manner of Sir Edwin Lutyens.
This rectangle-shaped solid oak farmhouse centre or dining table is exquisite and packed with the typical farmhouse character you would expect from it in every single way.
Very much in the Arts and Crafts period, which dates to around 1890-1900, the table is supported by four turned baluster legs with the rare C-shaped stretcher ends, not typically found or commonly seen on a table like this one.
The table is showing a lovely original colour and patina, in overall excellent original condition for the home. There are a few minor chips, but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age.
Measurements of the table: 183 cm long by 90cm deep by 75cm high.

Sir Edwin Lutyens (1869 – 1944) was an English architect who was known for adopting different styles and scales to suit a wide range of requirements. His work is said to have taken the best concepts from the past and woven them into the requirements of the present. Very similar tables designed by him and made have been auctioned at Sotheby’s and Christie’s.
